This is a large horizontal seascape painting measuring 20″ x 60.” It is inspired by the gentle connection between sky and sea. I wanted to emphasize the aquamarine color throughout and add just a tiny amount of detail to create a sense of expanse. I’m not accustomed to creating any man-made objects in my paintings but the sailboat just felt like it needed to be there. The sliver of a land mass was created by pouring on a strip of paint. This pops out the land mass so that when light shines on the painting you can see real highlights
